Friday Love Notes: Is It Better To Be A Jump Off Or A Wife?
In an age where it seems evil is good and ying is yang, jump off's are getting better perks than wives are. How is that you're a jumpoff yet you're cast on the Real Housewives Of Atlanta? While the wife of the same man who paid for the jumpoff's boobs, lips and "makeup" has to grin and bear it, albeit with some benefits of her own I'm sure. Wouldn't want to give up that title of Mrs. Big would we? Why should she? What is the purpose of getting married in this new age of celebrity fanatics (stans) and reality ...

Friday Love Notes: Should She Put Her Career On Hold For Babies?
It's Friday night in the Knowles-Carter household and Beyonce has had an amazing week. Her new perfume Heat is the number #1 selling fragrance and she just took home 6 Grammy's, a first for any woman ever. She's at home sleeping in his T-shirt when in walks Jay-Z who just came back from sitting courtside, Knicks and Nets giving him high-5's. After this amazingly successful week for his loving wife all he has to say is: "You just won 6 Grammy's, you smell good, now what about that baby you promised me in Dangerously In Love?" I don't think it's meant ...
Friday Love Notes: Is Your Value System A Major Influence When Choosing A Lifelong Mate?
A value system is defined as a set of consistent ethic values (more specifically the personal and cultural values) and measures used for the purpose of ethical or ideological integrity. A well defined value system is a moral code. Most children are taught & shown different things by their parents & neighbors that shape who we are for years to come. At that age we have a limited sight distance that consists of our family, schoolmates & members of our place of worship. When we turn 18 and venture off into the world how much of these teachings do we carry ...
Friday Love Notes: I Love The Sex…But I Can’t Stand Him! [NSFW]
What is a girl to do if she still on it? This week I received a very interesting email in my box. It seems a reader feel's compelled to be in a situation that SHE THINKS know one can understand but her. In short, she slipped up and got dickmatized by a coworker! You can read below for yourself but it's NSFW, it sounds like an Usher song. Dear Cmongood, Hey girl!, I read some of your other Friday love notes, I found it from twitter and you seem like a real chick I don't know. I been asking my home ...
Cmongood.com Interview With Ben Baller
Many of you know Ben Baller, the jewelry designer behind Nas' N chain, TK's grill, and Fat Joe's I-95 South chain. If you saw that AT&T commercial with the dude with dreads at all the sneaker stores you may have noticed him in the line waiting for some size 13 somethings to drop. He was cool enough to let me get a quick interview with him for the site. CMONGOOD:What made you want to start designing jewelry? BEN: I was tired of everything else and felt like I've conquered almost everything I've wanted to so far, so I jumped into biz ...
Friday Love Notes: What’s It Take For A Down Ass Bitch To Become Wifey?
As ambitious men navigating your way through perilous, rocky crossroads in your career, it would seem likely that when you arrive to the top of your game you want the lovely lady standing next to you to be at your level. They say to get to the top you have to step on a lot of people on the way up. Is your down ass chick someone that gets sacrificed in the climb? In several songs in pop culture, women have been told that we need to stick with our men through ups and downs, thick and thins, ...

Jermaine Dupri was in the place along with Ms. SNL aka Shanell, Bangladesh, Brian Michael Cox and other people I probably should recognize but didn’t. I also met Tameka Raymond who was sweet and very pretty. She came up to me and complemented me on my attire and asked where I purchased my leggings, Forever 21 baby! Speaking of Forever 21 ha anyone else noticed the bible verse on the bottom of the bag? What’s up with that?

Soldier Of Love Is Sade’s 8th Top 10 Album

This should come as no surprise, congrats Sade. You must be a soldier to fight to be yourself and win.
For a second consecutive week, SOLDIER OF LOVE, retains the # 1 spot on the charts fending off the competition with 694,000 units sold. The album exploded onto the charts last week selling an astonishing 502,000 copies making it the best sales week for an album by a group since AC/DC in 2008.
SOLDIER OF LOVE marks Sade’s eighth album to rank in the top 10 among Billboard’s 200 making them the first group since Led Zeppelin to hold this accomplishment. The attention grabbing first single “Soldier of Love” continues to heat up the airwaves across multiple radio formats and the video remains one of the most played videos for two consecutive months
Entertainment Weekly featured SOLDIER OF LOVE in their “Must List” and gave the album an “A”, Rolling Stone wrote, “it’s unimpeachably excellent,” and The Boston Globe calls it, “a rich and rewarding album.” But the accolades don’t stop there. Associated Press raved, “like a long-ago lover not quite forgotten, Sade has returned to steal our hearts with more beautiful, uncategorizable music,” Billboard was quoted as saying, “it’s been 10 years since Sade released an album, but be forewarned – the giant has awoken,” while People Magazine reminds us that “Sade remains the voice of comfort to the wounded heart.”
Known for their one of a kind timeless sound, Sade has enjoyed phenomenal success both internationally and stateside throughout the span of their twenty-five year career. Since the release of their debut album, Diamond Life in 1984 the band has seen all five of their studio albums land in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart selling a total of more than 50 million albums worldwide to date. They’ve been nominated for American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and have won three Grammy Awards – first in 1986 for Best New Artist, then in 1994 for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group for “No Ordinary Love”, and again in 2002 for Best Pop Vocal Album with Lovers Rock.
The album is in stores now.

Sa’Mya Releases ‘Passport To Fame’ Mixtape
Sa’Mya introduces herself and her new mixtape to us via a refreshing car ride interview. The mixtape itself opens up with a skit of a record exec trying to tell her that no one wants to hear her sound and no one would buy it. I beg to differ.
Just from listening to one song and interacting with her on her rapidly growing Twitter page, Sa’Mya comes across as the home girl you could talk to about anything. She’d listen to you cry about a lost love, then tell you “suck it up sis, there are plenty of fish in the sea!” Very fun but real. Her “Pop Soul” sound especially stands apart from her sister Marsha Ambrosious’ because it has a lot less maudlin and a whole lot more get back.
Unfortunately, the mixtape release event is this weekend in Atlanta and I won’t be back until next weekend. :-( But yes, I’m moving back finally! Fare thee well DMV, I’m an adopted Georgia peach who longs for home. I’ll be back in the A next weekend and hopefully Sa’Mya’s and my schedule will cross up soon so I can interview her.
Definitely pop the top for the tracklisting and download link and thank you for supporting Good Music.
